Now, simply apply the paste on your knee and elbow and gently scrub it in a circular motion. Scrub for 2-3 minutes and rinse it off with cold water. For best results, repeat this every alternate day.
Coconut Oil for Dark Spots
To make this scrub you will need 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 2 tablespoons of walnut powder. Mix both of these ingredients to make a thick paste. Apply the paste on to the dark spots and scrub for 2-3 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water.
Repeat twice or thrice every week. You can also use coconut oil every day after shower on the dark knees and elbows. Also, before going to bed, massaging your skin with coconut oil is a good habit that can help you get rid of dark patches on the skin.
Vitamin E Oil Scrub
To prepare this scrub at home, you will need a vitamin E capsule and 1 tablespoon of sugar. First, split open a few vitamin E capsules and pour out the oil in it. Take about 1 ½ to 2 tablespoons of this oil. Then, add the sugar to the oil and mix well.
Now, use this mixture to scrub your dark knees and elbows. Scrub gently in a circular motion and rinse off with lukewarm water. You can use this scrub every alternate day. For this method, you only need a good quality pumice stone and some warm water. You can apply this method when you take a warm shower. Sour curd helps in lightening skin tone. To use curd to lighten up your knee and elbow, mix a teaspoon of vinegar and gram flour with sour curd. Mix well and make a paste. Apply this pack on your dark patches and leave it for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Curd is also a good moisturizer.
